Okay, so we made it two days in a row!! Major improvement.....hopefully we can keep this going!

Todays daily devotion.......

Time to Change (1:3)

"Change your hearts and lives, because the kingdom of heaven is hear"

Matthew 4:17

We need to change are heart to align it with God's plan for our lives. The goal is to be like Jesus! We need to confess to God when we mess up....everyone does it! But we need to ask for forgiveness, and want to change the ways of our heart.

We we repent, ask for forgiveness, and want to change......God settles inside of us!!!


Things that Brendon realizes that he needs to change:

• doing better in school
• fix his attitude
• be responsible

In order to change the ways of our heart we need to "Talk to God about it"

Make God Number One (1:2)

Okay, I made a plan several weeks ago to start a daily devotional for Brendon and I to go through everyday. Well......we certainly did not make it everyday....we only made it one day.

Here is to starting again, and asking God for forgiveness and asking for the strength and Discipline to guide my family closer to GOD!!

So......lets give this another go ahead.

WEEK 1 - DAY 2 (Make God Number One)

Go away Satan! The scriptures say:

"Worship the Lord your God and serve only him"

Matthew 4:10

We need to think of things that we put before GOD in our lives. GOD wants to be first and hold the #1 position.....nothing and nobody else.

Brendon has determined that the following are items that he thinks about the most in his life:

• Video Games
• Watching TV
• Playing with Friends

Looking at my life, where are things that I think about regularly that have been put before God:

• Money situation
• Parenting Situation
• Job & Serving Opportunities
• Social Events

God, we recognize that there are items that we need to change in our lives. We ask that you give us the strength, courage, and guidance to change.

We love you!! We want to become the sons and daughters that you have planned for us!
